Color Everywhere is a coloring activity. Forget about coloring inside any lines. This activity is for your child to color everywhere. There are different objectives to this activity, so focus on one objective at a time. If coloring is the objective, then just practice holding the crayon and coloring the pages. If you want to work on attending to a read aloud activity, read the story and talk about the feelings mentioned in the short story.
The first time I worked on this activity with my son, I had him color on each of the pages. And that’s all we did. I did this once only, but you can do it again and again until the page are filled with color! That’s the great thing about this activity. You can come back to it. Your child becomes more familiar with what to do: sit and attend, color, and learn about feelings! Focus just on fine motor by coloring, or talk about story. There is no specific way of doing this activity, so use it as a guide and create structure that works for you. And I provide tips and strategies if you want to try them.
